SigAmp™ Technology is a nucleic acid amplification optimization system, where a combination of bioinformatics, temperature gradient analysis, and biochemical gradient analysis yields an optimal amplification of even few copies of biomolecules. PCRs or real-time PCRs using the SigAmp™ Technology show a significant increase in sensitivity and specificity, as compared to conventional PCR amplifications. With the advent of multi-channel real-time PCR detection systems, this technology proves to be particularly important for multi-species nucleic acid detection for many important applications, such as food pathogen detection and clinical microbiology, where multiple target molecules are likely to be present.
